No, You're Not Dying
Mother-daughter duo Beth (a PhD clinical psychologist) and Joyce (a chronic over-thinking millennial) love to sit and chat about finding balance in the never-ending ups and downs of life - so much so, that they turned it into a podcast.
Join them every week for a candid conversation about the many ways in which life impacts our mental health, how psychology can shift your perspective, and why even if you feel like you’re dying, you’re probably not. Kinda funny, never scripted, always honest - so join the conversation!

No, You're Not Dying
Need a Getaway? Plan a Trip to Hallmark, USA
Every year in late fall, we are blessed with the return of Hallmark Holiday movies. Do we watch them because we are obsessed with small-town holiday festivals, can't wait to watch strangers drink hot cocoa, or want to live vicariously through someone else decorating a freshly-baked, intricate gingerbread house that we know we could never make? Or do they serve a bigger purpose?
Today we're talking about the appeal of these movies around the holidays and why they might be the stress-free getaway we've all been searching for. We discuss healthy escapism, why repetitive plot lines can give us stability, and how these types of movies can help shape our outlook on life.
We also cover toxic positivity, the small-town fantasy (and why it's not real), and why traditions make us feel grounded.
Plus, our top movie recommendations and an absolutely unhinged installment of our 'get to know us' segment. We don't really know what happened there.
About Your Hosts:
